सुवर्णं स्वादु हृद्यं च बृंहणीयं रसायनम् । दोषत्रयापहं शीतं चक्षुष्यं विषसूदनम् ॥३२६॥
Gold is sweet, pleasing, and rejuvenating. It is a tonic that alleviates the three doshas, is cooling, beneficial for the eyes, and is an antidote to poison.

स्वर्ण स्वादु, हृदय को प्रसन्न करने वाला, बृंहण (वृद्धिकारक) और रसायन है। यह त्रिदोषों को शांत करने वाला, शीतल, नेत्रों के लिए अच्छा और विष को नष्ट करने वाला है।

Silver is sour, liquid, cooling, and has a soothing effect. It alleviates pitta and vata. Copper is astringent, sweet, has a scraping action, is cooling, and also liquid.

कांस्य कषाय, लेखन (घसने) वाला और चक्षुष्य (आंखों के लिए अच्छा) है। यह कफ और वात को दूर करता है। लोहे का गुण शीतल होता है, तृष्णा को शान्त करता है और पित्त तथा कफ को नष्ट करता है।
