नादेयं वातलं रूक्षं दीपनं लघु लेखनम् | तदभिष्यन्दि मधुरं सान्द्रं गुरु कफावहम् ||३१||

Water that is not to be used is that which is acidic, dry, light, and has a sharp taste; it increases Vata, is unwholesome, and has a thin consistency. On the other hand, sweet, thick, and heavy water increases Kapha and is considered beneficial.

english translation

जो पानी उपयोगी नहीं है, वह अम्लीय, रूखा, हल्का और तीखा होता है; यह वात को बढ़ाता है, अव्यवस्थित होता है, और पतला होता है। इसके विपरीत, मधुर, घना और भारी पानी कफ को बढ़ाता है और लाभकारी माना जाता है।
