क्षीणस्य यस्य क्षुत्तृष्णे हृद्यैर्मिष्टैर्हितैस्तथा । न शाम्यतोऽन्नपानैश्च तस्य मृत्युरुपस्थितः ॥२८॥
A patient with excessive hunger and thirst who cannot be satisfied with sweet, wholesome, and palatable food or drink should be regarded as having a fatal prognosis.
english translation
जिस रोगी को अत्यधिक भूख और प्यास हो और जिसे मीठा, स्वास्थ्यवर्धक, और स्वादिष्ट भोजन या पेय से भी तृप्ति न मिले, उसे मृत्यु की संभावना के रूप में देखा जाना चाहिए।
