खेभ्यः सरोमकूपेभ्यो यस्य रक्तं प्रवर्तते | पुरुषस्याविषार्तस्य सद्यो जह्यात् स जीवितम् ||१७||

sanskrit

A man, spontaneously bleeding through the roots of his hair or other orifices, otherwise than in a case of poisoning, should be deemed as dying on that day.

english translation

जिस व्यक्ति का रक्त बिना किसी विषाक्तता के बालों की जड़ों या अन्य छिद्रों से स्वतः बह रहा हो, उसे उसी दिन मृत्यु की ओर बढ़ता मान लेना चाहिए।

khebhyaH saromakUpebhyo yasya raktaM pravartate | puruSasyAviSArtasya sadyo jahyAt sa jIvitam ||17||
