Thus, this Tantra, as revealed by Ādideva (the primordial deity), is comprised of the Eightfold Path. By studying it according to the prescribed method and practicing it, one becomes a life-giver on earth.

english translation

This must be studied with diligence and practiced accordingly; indeed, a physician who performs both the study and the practice is worthy of royal respect.

english translation

He who is only knowledgeable in the scriptures but does not engage in practical application will bewilder the patient when faced with a real case, much like a cowardly person facing a dangerous situation.

english translation

He who is skilled in practical work but disregards the scriptures out of arrogance will not gain respect from the good people; instead, he will be scorned and treated with contempt like a criminal.

english translation

Both types of practitioners—one skilled in only theoretical knowledge but not in practical application, and the other proficient in practical work but lacking in theoretical knowledge—are like two Brahmins who, although versed in half of the Veda each, are incomplete and limited in their capabilities.
