त्वङ्मांससिरास्नाय्वस्थिसन्धिकोष्ठमर्माणीत्यष्टौ व्रणवस्तूनि | अत्र सर्वव्रणसन्निवेशः ||३||

The eight types of places where ulcers or boils can occur are: the skin, flesh, veins, bones, joints, viscera, and vital points. This is the classification of all locations for ulcers.

त्वचा, मांस, नसें, हड्डियाँ, जोड़, आंतरिक अंग, और महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु—ये आठ स्थान हैं जहाँ फोड़े या घाव हो सकते हैं। यह सभी स्थानों की वर्गीकरण है।

तत्र, आद्यैकवस्तुसन्निवेशी त्वग्भेदी व्रणः सूपचरः, शेषाः स्वयमवदीर्यमाणा दुरुपचाराः ||४||

Among these, an ulcer confined to the skin is easily treatable, while the others, which are naturally occurring and spontaneously discharging, are difficult to treat.

तत्रायतश्चतुरस्रो वृत्तस्त्रिपुटक इति व्रणाकृतिसमासः, शेषास्तु विकृताकृतयो दुरुपक्रमा भवन्ति ||५||

Here, the ulcer shape includes four types: square, circular, and triangular, while the others, which are irregular in shape, are difficult to treat.
