यथाहि पुष्पमुकुलस्थो गन्धो न शक्यमिहास्तीति वक्तुं, नैव नास्तीति; अथ चास्ति, सतां भावानामभिव्यक्तिरिति ज्ञात्वा , केवलं सौक्ष्म्यान्नाभिव्यज्यते; स एव विवृतपत्रकेशरे पुष्पे कालान्तरेणाभिव्यक्तिं गच्छति; एवं बालानामपि वयःपरिणामाच्छुक्रप्रादुर्भावो भवति, रोमराज्यादयश्च विशेषा नारीणाम् ॥१८॥

Just as it is impossible to assert that the fragrance of a flower bud does not exist, but rather it manifests at a later stage, so too, the presence of semen in the youth is revealed only with age and maturation. Similarly, specific characteristics in women, such as the presence of hair, also develop with time.

english translation

जैसे कि पुष्पमुकुल का गंध तुरंत अनुभव नहीं होता, लेकिन समय के साथ प्रकट होता है, वैसे ही युवावस्था में शुक्र की उपस्थिति भी उम्र और परिपक्वता के साथ प्रकट होती है। इसी प्रकार, महिलाओं में रोमराज्य जैसे विशेष लक्षण भी समय के साथ विकसित होते हैं।
