शीताधिवासा मधुरा जलौका वारिसम्भवा । तस्मात् पित्तोपसृष्टे तु हिता सा त्ववसेचने ॥६॥
The leech that is cool, sweet, and derived from water is beneficial for conditions affected by Pitta. Therefore, it is suitable for bloodletting in such cases.
