There are twenty-four types of arteries that originate from the navel. Some say that the classification of arteries, nerves, and channels is based on their distinctions, stating that the variations in arteries themselves constitute the channels. However, this is not accurate, as the arteries and channels are indeed different entities. Why? Because of their distinct characteristics, their root causes, their specific functions, and the scriptural texts; indeed, due to their close proximity, they may appear similar, but they perform distinct functions and remain divided in their actions.
