अशितं खादितं पीतं लीढं कोष्ठगतं नृणाम् । तज्जीर्यति यथाकालं शोषितं पित्ततेजसा ॥१९॥
Food that is eaten, chewed, drunk, or swallowed, and reaches the intestines, is digested at the right time by the heat of bile.

जो भोजन खाया गया, चबा लिया गया, पिया गया या निगला गया और जो आंतों तक पहुँचता है, वह समय पर पित्त के ताप से पचता है।
