अष्टौ प्रकृतयः प्रोक्ता विकाराः षोडशैव तु । क्षेत्रज्ञश्च समासेन स्वतन्त्रपरतन्त्रयोः ॥२२॥
Eight natures have been described, while only sixteen modifications exist. The knower of the field, in brief, relates to both the independent and the dependent.
