तत्र स्थूलान्त्रप्रतिबद्धमर्धपञ्चाङ्गुलं गुदमाहुः, तस्मिन् वलयस्तिस्रोऽध्यर्धाङ्गुलान्तरसम्भूताः प्रवाहणी विसर्जनी संवरणी चेति चतुरङ्गुलायताः ; सर्वास्तिर्यगेकाङ्गलोच्छ्रिताः ||५||

यहाँ पर स्थूलांत्र को गुदा से जुड़ा बताया गया है, जिसकी लंबाई लगभग साढ़े चार अंगुल है। इसमें डेढ़ अंगुल के अंतराल पर तीन वलय उत्पन्न होते हैं, जिन्हें प्रवाहणी (विसर्जन करने वाली), विसर्जनी (निष्कासन करने वाली) और संवरणी (संरोध करने वाली) कहा जाता है, जिनकी लंबाई लगभग चार अंगुल होती है। ये सभी वलय एक अंगुल की ऊँचाई में तिरछे फैले होते हैं।
