गले तु शोफं कुरुतः प्रवृद्धौ श्लेष्मानिलौ श्वासरुजोपपन्नम् । मर्मच्छिदं दुस्तरमेतदाहुर्बलाससञ्ज्ञं निपुणा विकारम् ॥५४॥
In the throat, the swelling caused by the vitiation of mucus and wind, accompanied by respiratory pain, is referred to as Balasa, and it is described as a severe and difficult condition by experts due to its destructive nature.
