तेषु चूर्णितच्छिन्नातिपातितमज्जानुगतानि कृच्छ्रसाध्यानि, कृशवृद्धबालानां क्षतक्षीणकुष्ठिश्वासिनां सन्ध्युपगतं चेति ॥११॥
Among these, fractures that are powdered (Churnita), completely severed (Chhinna), over-protruded (Atipatita), and marrow-penetrated (Majjanugata) are difficult to treat. Furthermore, fractures in emaciated, elderly, children, or those suffering from wounds, weakness, skin diseases (Kushta), and respiratory issues (Shwasa) that involve the joints are also challenging to manage.

The following cases are to be considered as hopeless: a fractured skull, dislocated joints, and crushed bones in the pelvis. These should be avoided by the physician.
