भवन्ति चात्र- भिन्नं कपालं कट्यां तु सन्धिमुक्तं तथा च्युतम् । जघनं प्रति पिष्टं च वर्जयेत्तच्चिकित्सकः ॥१२॥

The following cases are to be considered as hopeless: a fractured skull, dislocated joints, and crushed bones in the pelvis. These should be avoided by the physician.

इन मामलों को निराशाजनक माना जाना चाहिए: भिन्न कपाल, सन्धिमुक्त (जोड़ों की अस्थिरता), और जघन (हड्डियों) में कुचलन। चिकित्सक को इनसे दूर रहना चाहिए।
