तेषां बडिशवद्दंष्ट्रास्तासु सज्जति चागतम् । अनुद्वृत्ता विषं तस्मान्न मुञ्चन्ति च भोगिनः ॥२९॥
The fangs of these serpents, resembling the form of a rod, become ready to strike. Once agitated, they do not release their venom until they have inflicted pain on their victims.
