One must avoid injuring the following eight vital structures: the urinary tract, semen-carrying ducts, the scrotal vessels, urinary excretion ducts, the sevani (the line running between the anus and genitals), the yoni (female reproductive organ), the guda (anus), and the bladder. Cutting the urinary tract results in death due to a bladder filled with urine; cutting the semen-carrying ducts leads to death or impotence; injury to the scrotal vessels results in loss of erectile function; damage to the urinary excretion ducts causes continuous leakage of urine; severing the sevani or yoni causes intense pain; and damage to the bladder or anus results in symptoms described earlier.
