The tender roots and branches of these are collected, mixed with salt, and burned as before. The resulting ashes are then strained, and can be combined with Hingvaadi and Pippali for better effects. This is known as Kalyana Kalavana and is prescribed for ailments such as Vata disorders, gulma, spleen issues, Agniṣanga, digestive troubles, and other conditions aggravated by parasites during meals and drinking.
