एवं स्नुहीकाण्डवार्ताकुशिग्रुलवणानि सङ्क्षुद्य घटं पूरयित्वा सर्पिस्तैलवसामज्जभिः प्रक्षिप्यावलिप्य गोशकृद्भिर्दाहयेत्; एतत् स्नेहलवणमुपदिशन्ति वातरोगेषु । (इति काण्डलवणम्) ॥३१॥

Similarly, the stems of snuhi, vartaka, shigru, and salt are ground and placed in a pot. They are mixed with ghee, oil, fat, and marrow, coated, and then heated with cow dung. This salt, infused with oil, is advised for treating Vata disorders. (This refers to the salt derived from the stems.)

इसी प्रकार स्नुही, वर्तक, शिग्रु और नमक की डंडियों को पीसकर एक बर्तन में रख दिया जाता है। इन्हें घी, तेल, चर्बी और मज्जा के साथ मिलाकर लेप किया जाता है और फिर गाय के गोबर में गर्म किया जाता है। तेल से युक्त इस नमक को वात विकारों के इलाज के लिए अनुशंसित किया जाता है। (यह तनों से प्राप्त नमक को संदर्भित करता है।)
