शुद्धस्य दूरानुसृते स्नेहे स्नेहस्य दर्शनम् । गात्रेषु सर्वेन्द्रियाणामुपलेपाऽवसादनम् ॥९१॥
When the body is pure and the application of oil is performed from a distance, the oil spreads and settles on the limbs, affecting all the senses.

जब शरीर शुद्ध होता है और दूर से तेल लगाया जाता है, तो तेल फैलकर अंगों पर जम जाता है, जिससे सभी इंद्रियां प्रभावित होती हैं।

The oil has a soothing fragrance and can alleviate cough and breathlessness. When it is excessively applied, it is effective for establishing healing.

In the case of a person who is unwell and impure, if a small amount of oil is applied, it becomes cold and gentle, and thus flows slowly.

यदि कोई व्यक्ति अस्वस्थ और अशुद्ध है, तो उस पर यदि थोड़ी मात्रा में तेल लगाया जाए तो वह ठंडा और कोमल हो जाता है, और इस प्रकार धीरे-धीरे बहता है।

A small quantity of oil is indeed mild in quality when given to someone who has eaten little, and it does not relieve the exertion and discomfort experienced by the patient.

यदि किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति को जिसने कम खाया हो, थोड़ी मात्रा में तेल दिया जाए तो यह वास्तव में हल्के गुणों वाला होता है, तथा इससे रोगी को होने वाली थकान और परेशानी से राहत नहीं मिलती।
