स्नेहसारोऽयं पुरुषः, प्राणाश्च स्नेहभूयिष्ठाः स्नेहसाध्याश्च भवन्ति । स्नेहो हि पानानुवासनमस्तिष्कशिरोबस्त्युत्तरबस्तिनस्यकर्णपूरणगात्राभ्यङ्गभोजनेषूपयोज्यः ॥३॥

Now we shall expound on the essence of oil: it is the most important aspect of life, and the vital forces of life are enriched by oil. Oil is indeed beneficial when used in drinks, massages, on the head, in enemas, filling the ears, for invigorating the body, and for food.

अब हम तेल के सार पर विस्तार से चर्चा करेंगे: यह जीवन का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पहलू है, और जीवन की महत्वपूर्ण शक्तियाँ तेल से समृद्ध होती हैं। पेय पदार्थों, मालिश, सिर पर, एनीमा में, कानों में तेल भरने, शरीर को स्फूर्ति देने और भोजन में इस्तेमाल किए जाने पर तेल वास्तव में लाभकारी होता है।
