शीतकाले दिवा स्नेहमुष्णकाले पिबेन्निशि । वातपित्ताधिको रात्रौ वातश्लेष्माधिको दिवा ॥२२॥

In winter, one should drink oil preparations during the day, and at night, when there is an increase of wind and bile. Conversely, during the day, when there is an increase of wind and phlegm, one should drink the preparations at night.

english translation

शीत ऋतु में दिन में तथा रात्रि में जब वायु और पित्त की वृद्धि हो, तब तेल पीना चाहिए। इसके विपरीत दिन में जब वायु और कफ की वृद्धि हो, तब रात्रि में तेल पीना चाहिए।
