अथातः शूकदोषचिकित्सितं व्याख्यास्यामः ॥१॥
Now we shall discourse on the medical treatment of the Sores on the penis produced by the Suka, a kind of poisonous insect (Shuka-Roga).

संलिख्य सर्षपीं सम्यक् कषायैरवचूर्णयेत् । कषायेष्वेव तैलं च कुर्वीत व्रणरोपणम् ॥३॥
The affected part should be well-scarified and dusted with astringent powders. An oil should be prepared with these astringents for the purpose of healing the wound.

प्रभावित भाग को अच्छी तरह से छिलकर कषाय चूर्ण से छिड़कना चाहिए। घाव को ठीक करने के लिए इन कषायों के साथ तैल तैयार करना चाहिए।

अष्ठीलिकां जलौकोभिर्ग्राहयेच्च पुनः पुनः । तथा चानुपशाम्यन्तीं कफग्रन्थिवदुद्धरेत् ॥४॥
In the case of Ashthi-lika, leeches should be applied repeatedly. If the swelling does not subside, it should be treated as a Kaphaja Granthi (glandular swelling).

अष्ठीलिका के मामले में, जलौकाओं को बार-बार लगाना चाहिए। यदि सूजन कम नहीं होती है, तो इसे कफग्रन्थि (ग्लैंड्यूलर सूजन) के रूप में उपचारित करना चाहिए।

स्वेदयेद्ग्रथितं शश्वन्नाडीस्वेदेन बुद्धिमान् । सुखोष्णैरुपनाहैश्च सुस्निग्धैरुपनाहयेत् ॥५॥
The wise physician should constantly foment the affected area with Nadi-Sveda and apply lukewarm poultices that are well-oiled.
