तदापाट्य प्रमाणेन भिषगन्त्रं प्रवेशयेत् । यथास्थानं निविष्टे च व्रणं सीव्येदतन्द्रितः ॥६१॥
Then, according to the prescribed measurement, the physician should introduce (the instrument) into the wound; once positioned correctly, he should suture the wound without delay.

Then, for the healing process (Ropana), a medicated oil should be applied to the wound. This oil is prepared from the bark of the Asvakarna, Dhava, Shalmali, Mesha-shringi, Shallaki, Arjuna, Vidari, and Kshiri trees, along with Vala roots.
