अथातो वृद्ध्युपदंशश्लीपदचिकित्सितं व्याख्यास्यामः ॥१॥
Now we shall discourse on the medical treatment of hernia, hydrocele, scrotal tumour, etc. (Vriddhi), diseases of the genital organ (Upadamsha) and elephantias is (Shlipada).

"Excessive sitting, walking, fasting, and heavy foods should also be avoided. Initially, in cases of aggravated Vata, the patient should be administered the threefold oleation therapy."

"After proper sudation, the patient should be given purgation therapy using the oil of bael, sesame, castor seeds, or other appropriate substances."
