मध्ये शीघ्रफलस्यार्धम् मान्दम् अर्धफलम् तथा । मध्यग्रहे *मन्दफलम् सकलम् शैघ्र्यम् एव च ॥(C पुनर् मान्दम्)
Find the second equation (from the mean place of a planet:) apply the half of it to the mean place, and (to the result) apply the half of the first equation (found from that result; from the amount) find the 1st equation again, and apply the whole of it to the mean place of the planet and (to that rectified mean place)[1] apply the whole of the 2nd equation (found from the rectified mean place: thus you will find the true place of the planet).

madhye zIghraphalasyArdham mAndam ardhaphalam tathA । madhyagrahe *mandaphalam sakalam zaighryam eva ca ॥(C punar mAndam)
