मदयन्त्याः पतिर्वीर नाधर्मं कर्तुमर्हसि । देहि मेऽपत्यकामाया अकृतार्थं पतिं द्विजम् ॥ ९-९-२७ ॥

The husband of Madayantī. You should not act irreligiously in this way. I desire to have a son. Please, therefore, return my husband, who has not yet impregnated me. ॥ 9-9-27 ॥

english translation

मदयन्ती के पति हो। तुम्हें इस तरह पाप-कर्म नहीं करना चाहिए। मुझे पुत्र प्राप्त करने की इच्छा है अतएव मेरे पति को छोड़ दो, अभी उसने मुझे गर्भित नहीं किया है। ॥ ९-९-२७ ॥
