श्रीशुक उवाच इत्थं गीतानुभावस्तं भगवान् कपिलो मुनिः । अंशुमन्तमुवाचेदमनुगृह्य धिया नृप ॥ ९-८-२८ ॥
O King Parīkṣit, when Aṁśumān had glorified the Lord in this way, the great sage Kapila, the powerful incarnation of Viṣṇu, being very merciful to him, explained to him the path of knowledge. ॥ 9-8-28 ॥
english translation
हे राजा परीक्षित, जब अंशुमान ने भगवान् का इस प्रकार महिमागायन किया तो महामुनि कपिल ने, जो विष्णु के सशक्त अवतार हैं, उस पर कृपालु होकर उसे ज्ञान का मार्ग बतलाया। ॥ ९-८-२८ ॥
