त्वन्मायारचिते लोके वस्तुबुद्ध्या गृहादिषु । भ्रमन्ति कामलोभेर्ष्यामोहविभ्रान्तचेतसः ॥ ९-८-२६ ॥
O my Lord, those whose hearts are bewildered by the influence of lust, greed, envy and illusion are interested only in false hearth and home in this world created by Your māyā. Attached to home, wife and children, they wander in this material world perpetually. ॥ 9-8-26 ॥
english translation
हे भगवन्, जिनके मन काम, लोभ, ईर्ष्या तथा मोह से मोहित हैं वे आपकी माया द्वारा सृजित इस जगत में झूठे ही घर, गृहस्थी आदि में रुचि रखते हैं। वे घर, पत्नी तथा सन्तान में आसक्त रहकर इसी जगत में निरन्तर घूमते रहते हैं। ॥ ९-८-२६ ॥

अद्य नः सर्वभूतात्मन् कामकर्मेन्द्रियाशयः । मोहपाशो दृढश्छिन्नो भगवंस्तव दर्शनात् ॥ ९-८-२७ ॥
O Supersoul of all living entities, O Personality of Godhead, simply by seeing You I have now been freed from all lusty desires, which are the root cause of insurmountable illusion and bondage in the material world. ॥ 9-8-27 ॥

हे समस्त जीवों के परमात्मा, हे भगवान्, मैं अब आपके दर्शनमात्र से सारी कामवासनाओं से मुक्त हो गया हूँ जो दुर्लंघ्य मोह तथा संसार-बन्धन के मूल कारण हैं। ॥ ९-८-२७ ॥

श्रीशुक उवाच इत्थं गीतानुभावस्तं भगवान् कपिलो मुनिः । अंशुमन्तमुवाचेदमनुगृह्य धिया नृप ॥ ९-८-२८ ॥
O King Parīkṣit, when Aṁśumān had glorified the Lord in this way, the great sage Kapila, the powerful incarnation of Viṣṇu, being very merciful to him, explained to him the path of knowledge. ॥ 9-8-28 ॥
english translation
हे राजा परीक्षित, जब अंशुमान ने भगवान् का इस प्रकार महिमागायन किया तो महामुनि कपिल ने, जो विष्णु के सशक्त अवतार हैं, उस पर कृपालु होकर उसे ज्ञान का मार्ग बतलाया। ॥ ९-८-२८ ॥

श्रीभगवानुवाच अश्वोऽयं नीयतां वत्स पितामहपशुस्तव । इमे च पितरो दग्धा गङ्गाम्भोऽर्हन्ति नेतरत् ॥ ९-८-२९ ॥
The Personality of Godhead said: My dear Aṁśumān, here is the animal sought by your grandfather for sacrifice. Please take it. As for your forefathers, who have been burnt to ashes, they can be delivered only by Ganges water, and not by any other means. ॥ 9-8-29 ॥
english translation
भगवान् कपिल ने कहा : हे प्रिय अंशुमान, यह रहा तुम्हारे बाबा द्वारा खोजा जा रहा यज्ञ-पशु। इसे लो। दग्ध हुए तुम्हारे इन पुरखों का उद्धार केवल गंगाजल से हो सकता है, किसी अन्य साधन से नहीं। ॥ ९-८-२९ ॥

तं परिक्रम्य शिरसा प्रसाद्य हयमानयत् । सगरस्तेन पशुना क्रतुशेषं समापयत् ॥ ९-८-३० ॥
Thereafter, Aṁśumān circumambulated Kapila Muni and offered Him respectful obeisances, bowing his head. After fully satisfying Him in this way, Aṁśumān brought back the horse meant for sacrifice, and with this horse Mahārāja Sagara performed the remaining ritualistic ceremonies. ॥ 9-8-30 ॥

तत्पश्चात् अंशुमान ने कपिल मुनि की परिक्रमा की और अपना सिर झुकाकर उन्हें सादर नमस्कार किया। इस तरह उन्हें पूरी तरह सन्तुष्ट करके अंशुमान यज्ञ-पशु को वापस ले आया और महाराज सगर ने इस घोड़े से यज्ञ का शेष अनुष्ठान सम्पन्न किया। ॥ ९-८-३० ॥
