पितरं वरुणग्रस्तं श्रुत्वा जातमहोदरम् । रोहितो ग्राममेयाय तमिन्द्रः प्रत्यषेधत ।। ९-७-१७ ।।

sanskrit

When Rohita heard that his father had been attacked by dropsy due to Varuṇa and that his abdomen had grown very large, he wanted to return to the capital, but King Indra forbade him to do so. ।। 9-7-17 ।।

english translation

जब रोहित ने सुना कि वरुण के कारण उसके पिता को जलोदर रोग हो गया है और उसका पेट फूल गया है तो वह राजधानी लौट आना चाहता था लेकिन राजा इन्द्र ने ऐसा करने से उसे मना कर दिया। ।। ९-७-१७ ।।

pitaraM varuNagrastaM zrutvA jAtamahodaram | rohito grAmameyAya tamindraH pratyaSedhata || 9-7-17 ||
