तत्र तप्त्वा तपस्तीक्ष्णमात्मदर्शनमात्मवान् । सहैवाग्निभिरात्मानं युयोज परमात्मनि ।। ९-६-५४ ।।

sanskrit

When Saubhari Muni, who was quite conversant with the self, went to the forest, he performed severe penances. In this way, in the fire at the time of death, he ultimately engaged himself in the service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. ।। 9-6-54 ।।

english translation

जब आत्मवान सौभरि मुनि जंगल में चले गये तो उन्होंने कठोर तपस्याएँ की। इस तरह अन्तत: मृत्यु के समय उन्होंने अग्नि में स्वयं को भगवान् की सेवा में लगा दिया। ।। ९-६-५४ ।।
