तस्माच्च वृष्टिमांस्तस्य सुषेणोऽथ महीपतिः । सुनीथस्तस्य भविता नृचक्षुर्यत्सुखीनलः ॥ ९-२२-४१ ॥
From Śuciratha will come the son named Vṛṣṭimān, and his son, Suṣeṇa, will be the emperor of the entire world. The son of Suṣeṇa will be Sunītha, his son will be Nṛcakṣu, and from Nṛcakṣu will come a son named Sukhīnala. ॥ 9-22-41 ॥

शुचिरथ का पुत्र वृष्टिमान होगा और उसका पुत्र सुषेण नाम का चक्रवर्ती राजा होगा। सुषेण का पुत्र सुनीथ होगा, उसका पुत्र नृचक्षु होगा और नृचक्षु का पुत्र सुखीनल होगा। ॥ ९-२२-४१ ॥

परिप्लवः सुतस्तस्मान्मेधावी सुनयात्मजः । नृपञ्जयस्ततो दूर्वस्तिमिस्तस्माज्जनिष्यति ॥ ९-२२-४२ ॥
The son of Sukhīnala will be Pariplava, and his son will be Sunaya. From Sunaya will come a son named Medhāvī; from Medhāvī, Nṛpañjaya; from Nṛpañjaya, Dūrva; and from Dūrva, Timi. ॥ 9-22-42 ॥

सुखीनल का पुत्र परिप्लव, परिप्लव का सुनय और सुनय का पुत्र मेधावी होगा। मेधावी से नृपञ्जय, नृपञ्जय से दूर्व तथा दूर्व से तिमि का जन्म होगा। ॥ ९-२२-४२ ॥

तिमेर्बृहद्रथस्तस्माच्छतानीकः सुदासजः । शतानीकाद्दुर्दमनस्तस्यापत्यं महीनरः ॥ ९-२२-४३ ॥
From Timi will come Bṛhadratha; from Bṛhadratha, Sudāsa; and from Sudāsa, Śatānīka. From Śatānīka will come Durdamana, and from him will come a son named Mahīnara. ॥ 9-22-43 ॥

तिमि का पुत्र बृहद्रथ, बृहद्रथ का सुदास, सुदास का शतानीक, शतानीक का दुर्दमन और दुर्दमन का पुत्र महीनर होगा। ॥ ९-२२-४३ ॥

दण्डपाणिर्निमिस्तस्य क्षेमको भविता नृपः । ब्रह्मक्षत्रस्य वै प्रोक्तो वंशो देवर्षिसत्कृतः ॥ ९-२२-४४ ॥
The son of Mahīnara will be Daṇḍapāṇi, and his son will be Nimi, from whom King Kṣemaka will be born. I have now described to you the moon-god’s dynasty, which is the source of brāhmaṇas and kṣatriyas and is worshiped by demigods and great saints. ॥ 9-22-44 ॥

महीनर का पुत्र दण्डपाणि होगा और उसका पुत्र निमि होगा जिससे राजा क्षेमक की उत्पत्ति होगी। मैंने अभी तुमसे सोमवंश का वर्णन किया है जो ब्राह्मणों तथा क्षत्रियों का उद्गम है और देवताओं तथा ऋषियों-मुनियों द्वारा पूजित है। ॥ ९-२२-४४ ॥
