तव तातः सुभद्रायामभिमन्युरजायत । सर्वातिरथजिद्वीर उत्तरायां ततो भवान् ।। ९-२२-३३ ।।

sanskrit

My dear King Parīkṣit, your father, Abhimanyu, was born from the womb of Subhadrā as the son of Arjuna. He was the conqueror of all atirathas [those who could fight with one thousand charioteers]. From him, by the womb of Uttarā, the daughter of Virāḍrāja, you were born. ।। 9-22-33 ।।

english translation

हे राजा परीक्षित, तुम्हारे पिता अभिमन्यु अर्जुन के पुत्र रूप में सुभद्रा के गर्भ से उत्पन्न हुए। वे सभी अतिरथों (जो एक हजार रथवानों से युद्ध कर सके) के विजेता थे। उनके द्वारा विराड्राज की पुत्री उत्तरा के गर्भ से तुम उत्पन्न हुए। ।। ९-२२-३३ ।।
