तच्छ्रुत्वा भगवान् रामो रुन्धन्नपि धिया शुचः । स्मरंस्तस्या गुणांस्तांस्तान्नाशक्नोद्रोद्धुमीश्वरः ।। ९-११-१६ ।।

sanskrit

After hearing the news of mother Sītā’s entering the earth, the Supreme Personality of Godhead was certainly aggrieved. Although He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, upon remembering the exalted qualities of mother Sītā, He could not check His grief in transcendental love. ।। 9-11-16 ।।

english translation

सीतादेवी के पृथ्वी में प्रविष्ट होने का समाचार सुनकर भगवान् निश्चित रूप से दुखी हुए। यद्यपि वे भगवान् हैं, किन्तु सीतादेवी के महान् गुणों का स्मरण करके वे दिव्य प्रेमवश अपने शोक को रोक न सके। ।। ९-११-१६ ।।
