कृतैषा विधवा लङ्का वयं च कुलनन्दन । देहः कृतोऽन्नं गृध्राणामात्मा नरकहेतवे ॥ ९-१०-२८ ॥
O pleasure of the Rākṣasa dynasty, because of you the state of Laṅkā and also we ourselves now have no protector. By your deeds you have made your body fit to be eaten by vultures and your soul fit to go to hell. ॥ 9-10-28 ॥
english translation
हे राक्षसकुल के हर्ष, तुम्हारे ही कारण अब लंका-राज्य तथा हम सबों का भी कोई संरक्षक नहीं रहा। तुमने अपने कृत्यों के ही कारण अपने शरीर को गीधों का आहार और अपनी आत्मा को नरक जाने का पात्र बना दिया है। ॥ ९-१०-२८ ॥
