हा हताः स्म वयं नाथ लोकरावण रावण । कं यायाच्छरणं लङ्का त्वद्विहीना परार्दिता ।। ९-१०-२६ ।।

sanskrit

O my lord, O master! You epitomized trouble for others, and therefore you were called Rāvaṇa. But now that you have been defeated, we also are defeated, for without you the state of Laṅkā has been conquered by the enemy. To whom will it go for shelter? ।। 9-10-26 ।।

english translation

हे नाथ! हे स्वामी! तुम अन्यों की मुसीबत की प्रतिमूर्ति थे; अतएव तुम रावण कहलाते थे। किन्तु अब जब तुम पराजित हो चुके हो, हम भी पराजित हैं क्योंकि तुम्हारे बिना इस लंका के राज्य को शत्रु ने जीत लिया है। बताओ न अब लङ्का किसकी शरण में जायेगी? ।। ९-१०-२६ ।।

hA hatAH sma vayaM nAtha lokarAvaNa rAvaNa | kaM yAyAccharaNaM laGkA tvadvihInA parArditA || 9-10-26 ||
