दग्ध्वाऽऽत्मकृत्यहतकृत्यमहन् कबन्धं सख्यं विधाय कपिभिर्दयितागतिं तैः । बुद्ध्वाथ वालिनि हते प्लवगेन्द्रसैन्यैर्वेलामगात्स मनुजोऽजभवार्चिताङ्घ्रिः ॥ ९-१०-१२ ॥
Lord Rāmacandra, whose lotus feet are worshiped by Lord Brahmā and Lord Śiva, had assumed the form of a human being. Thus He performed the funeral ceremony of Jaṭāyu, who was killed by Rāvaṇa. The Lord then killed the demon named Kabandha, and after making friends with the monkey chiefs, killing Vāli and arranging for the deliverance of mother Sītā, He went to the beach of the ocean. ॥ 9-10-12 ॥

भगवान् रामचन्द्रजी ने, जिनके चरणकमल ब्रह्माजी तथा शिवजी द्वारा पूजित हैं, मनुष्य का रूप धारण किया था। अतएव उन्होंने जटायु का दाहसंस्कार किया, जिसे रावण ने मारा था। तत्पश्चात् भगवान् ने कबन्ध नामक असुर को मारा और वानरराजों से मैत्री स्थापित करके बालि का वध किया तथा सीतादेवी के उद्धार की व्यवस्था करके वे समुद्र के तट पर गये। ॥ ९-१०-१२ ॥
