धर्मो भागवतानां च भगवान् येन गम्यते । आख्यानेऽस्मिन् समाम्नातमाध्यात्मिकमशेषतः ॥ ७-१०-४५ ॥
The principles of religion by which one can actually understand the Supreme Personality of Godhead are called bhāgavata-dharma. In this narration, therefore, which deals with these principles, actual transcendence is properly described. ॥ 7-10-45 ॥

धर्म के जिन सिद्धान्तों से भगवान् को वास्तव में समझा जा सकता है, वह भागवत धर्म कहलाता है। अतएव इस कथा में इन सिद्धान्तों का समावेश होने से वास्तविक अध्यात्म का भली-भाँति वर्णन हुआ है। ॥ ७-१०-४५ ॥
