एषा ब्रह्मण्यदेवस्य कृष्णस्य च महात्मनः । अवतारकथा पुण्या वधो यत्रादिदैत्ययोः ॥ ७-१०-४२ ॥
In this narration about Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, various expansions or incarnations of the Lord have been described, and the killing of the two demons Hiraṇyākṣa and Hiraṇyakaśipu has also been described. ॥ 7-10-42 ॥

भगवान् कृष्ण सम्बन्धी इस कथा में भगवान् के विभिन्न अवतार वर्णन किए गये हैं। साथ ही इसमें हिरण्याक्ष तथा हिरण्यकशिपु नामक दो असुरों के वध का भी वर्णन किया गया है। ॥ ७-१०-४२ ॥
