एवं शप्तौ स्वभवनात्पतन्तौ तैः कृपालुभिः । प्रोक्तौ पुनर्जन्मभिर्वां त्रिभिर्लोकाय कल्पताम् ।। ७-१-३८ ।।

sanskrit

While Jaya and Vijaya, thus cursed by the sages, were falling to the material world, they were addressed as follows by the same sages, who were very kind to them. “O doorkeepers, after three births you will be able to return to your positions in Vaikuṇṭha, for then the duration of the curse will have ended.” ।। 7-1-38 ।।

english translation

मुनियों द्वारा इस प्रकार शापित होकर जब जय तथा विजय भौतिक जगत में गिर रहे थे तो उन मुनियों ने उन पर दया करके इस प्रकार सम्बोधित किया, “हे द्वारपालो, तुम तीन जन्मों के बाद वैकुण्ठलोक में अपने-अपने पदों पर लौट सकोगे, क्योंकि तब श्राप की अवधि समाप्त हो चुकी होगी।” ।। ७-१-३८ ।।
