यस्याङ्के शिर आधाय लोकः स्वपिति निर्वृतः । स्वयं धर्ममधर्मं वा न हि वेद यथा पशुः ॥ ६-२-५ ॥
The innocent, unenlightened citizen is like an ignorant animal sleeping in peace with its head on the lap of its master, faithfully believing in the master’s protection. ॥ 6-2-5 ॥

अबोध, अप्रबुद्ध नागरिक उस अज्ञानी पशु की तरह है, जो अपने स्वामी की गोद में सिर रख कर शान्तिपूर्वक सोता रहता है और श्रद्धापूर्वक अपने स्वामी द्वारा अपने संरक्षण पर विश्वास करता है। ॥ ६-२-५ ॥
