ततः स्तुवीत स्तोत्रेण भक्तिप्रह्वेण चेतसा । यज्ञोच्छिष्टमवघ्राय पुनरभ्यर्चयेद्धरिम् ॥ ६-१९-१६ ॥
Thereafter, with devotion and humility, one should offer prayers to the Lord and mother Lakṣmī. Then one should smell the remnants of the food offered and then again worship the Lord and Lakṣmījī. ॥ 6-19-16 ॥

तत्पश्चात् अत्यन्त भक्ति एवं विनीत भाव से मनुष्य भगवान् तथा लक्ष्मी की स्तुति करे। तब यज्ञावशेष को सूँघकर विष्णु तथा लक्ष्मी की पुन: पूजा करे। ॥ ६-१९-१६ ॥

पतिं च परया भक्त्या महापुरुषचेतसा । प्रियैस्तैस्तैरुपनमेत्प्रेमशीलः स्वयं पतिः । बिभृयात्सर्वकर्माणि पत्न्या उच्चावचानि च ॥ ६-१९-१७ ॥
Accepting her husband as the representative of the Supreme Person, a wife should worship him with unalloyed devotion by offering him prasāda. The husband, being very pleased with his wife, should engage himself in the affairs of his family. ॥ 6-19-17 ॥

पत्नी अपने पति को परमेश्वर का प्रतिनिधि मानकर और उसे प्रसाद देकर विशुद्ध भक्ति से उसकी पूजा करे। पति भी अपनी पत्नी से परम प्रमुदित होकर अपने परिवार के कार्यों में लग जाए। ॥ ६-१९-१७ ॥

कृतमेकतरेणापि दम्पत्योरुभयोरपि । पत्न्यां कुर्यादनर्हायां पतिरेतत्समाहितः ॥ ६-१९-१८ ॥
Between the husband and wife, one person is sufficient to execute this devotional service. Because of their good relationship, both of them will enjoy the result. Therefore if the wife is unable to execute this process, the husband should carefully do so, and the faithful wife will share the result. ॥ 6-19-18 ॥

पति-पत्नी दोनों में से कोई एक इस भक्ति को निष्पादित कर सकता है। उनके मधुर सम्बन्धों के कारण दोनों को फल मिलता है। अत: यदि पत्नी इस व्रत को करने में असमर्थ हो तो पति सावधानी से इसे करे। इससे उसकी आज्ञाकारिणी पत्नी को भी उसका फल मिलेगा। ॥ ६-१९-१८ ॥

विष्णोर्व्रतमिदं बिभ्रन्न विहन्यात्कथञ्चन । विप्रान् स्त्रियो वीरवतीः स्रग्गन्धबलिमण्डनैः । अर्चेदहरहर्भक्त्या देवं नियममास्थिता ॥ ६-१९-१९ ॥
One should accept this viṣṇu-vrata, which is a vow in devotional service, and should not deviate from its execution to engage in anything else. By offering the remnants of prasāda, flower garlands, sandalwood pulp and ornaments, one should daily worship the brāhmaṇas and worship women who peacefully live with their husbands and children. Every day the wife must continue following the regulative principles to worship Lord Viṣṇu with great devotion.॥ 6-19-19 ॥

मनुष्य को चाहिए कि इस भक्तिपूर्ण विष्णु-व्रत को माने और किसी अन्य कार्य में व्यस्त होने के लिए इसके पालन से विचलित न हो। उसे चाहिए कि नित्यप्रति ब्राह्मणों तथा उन सौभाग्यवती स्त्रियों अर्थात् अपने पतियों के साथ शान्तिपूर्वक रहने वाली स्त्रियों को बचा हुआ प्रसाद, पुष्प माला, चन्दन तथा आभूषण अर्पित करके उनकी पूजा करे। पत्नी को चाहिए कि अत्यन्त भक्तिपूर्वक विधि-विधानों के अनुसार भगवान् विष्णु की पूजा करे। ॥ ६-१९-१९ ॥

उद्वास्य देवं स्वे धाम्नि तन्निवेदितमग्रतः । अद्यादात्मविशुद्ध्यर्थं सर्वकामर्धये तथा ॥ ६-१९-२० ॥
Thereafter, Lord Viṣṇu should be laid in His bed, and then one should take prasāda. In this way, husband and wife will be purified and will have all their desires fulfilled. ॥ 6-19-20 ॥

तत्पश्चात् भगवान् विष्णु को शयन कराए और इसके बाद प्रसाद ग्रहण करे। इस प्रकार पति तथा पत्नी परिशुद्ध हो जाएंगे और उनकी समस्त कामनाएँ पूरी होंगी। ॥ ६-१९-२० ॥
