नायमर्हति वैकुण्ठपादमूलोपसर्पणम् । सम्भावितमतिः स्तब्धः साधुभिः पर्युपासितम् ।। ६-१७-१४ ।।

sanskrit

This person is puffed up because of his achievements, thinking, “I am the best.” He does not deserve to approach the shelter of Lord Viṣṇu’s lotus feet, which are worshiped by all saintly persons, for he is impudent, thinking himself greatly important. ।। 6-17-14 ।।

english translation

यह व्यक्ति ऐसा सोचकर अपनी सफलता से फूला हुआ है कि मैं ही सर्वश्रेष्ठ हूँ। यह व्यक्ति भगवान् विष्णु के उन चरणकमलों के निकट, जिनकी उपासना सभी साधु पुरुष करते हैं, जाने के योग्य ही नहीं है क्योंकि यह अपने को अत्यन्त महत्त्वपूर्ण समझ कर घमंडी बन गया है। ।। ६-१७-१४ ।।
