देहेन देहिनो राजन् देहाद्देहोऽभिजायते । बीजादेव यथा बीजं देह्यर्थ इव शाश्वतः ।। ६-१५-७ ।।

sanskrit

As from one seed another seed is generated, O King, so from one body [the body of the father], through another body [the body of the mother], a third body is generated [the body of a son]. As the elements of the material body are eternal, the living entity who appears through these material elements is also eternal. ।। 6-15-7 ।।

english translation

हे राजन्! जिस प्रकार एक बीज से दूसरा बीज उत्पन्न होता है, उसी प्रकार एक शरीर (पिता के शरीर) द्वारा अन्य (माता के) शरीर के माध्यम से एक तीसरा (पुत्र का) शरीर उत्पन्न होता है। जैसे भौतिक शरीर के तत्त्व नित्य हैं, वैसे ही इन भौतिक तत्त्वों से प्रकट होने वाली जीवात्मा भी नित्य है। ।। ६-१५-७ ।।
