क्ष्वेलिकायां मां मृषा समाधिनाऽऽमीलितदृशं प्रेमसंरम्भेण चकित चकित आगत्य पृषदपरुषविषाणाग्रेण लुठति ॥ ५-८-२१ ॥
Alas, the small deer, while playing with me and seeing me feigning meditation with closed eyes, would circumambulate me due to anger arising from love, and it would fearfully touch me with the points of its soft horns, which felt like drops of water. ॥ 5-8-21 ॥

ओह! जब यह छोटा-सा हिरण, मेरे साथ खेलते हुए और मुझे आँखें बन्द करके झूठ-मूठ ध्यान करते देख कर, प्रेम से उत्पन्न क्रोध के कारण मेरे चारों ओर चक्कर लगाता और डरते हुए अपने मुलायम सींगों की नोकों से मुझे छूता, जो मुझे जल बिन्दुओं के समान प्रतीत होते। ॥ ५-८-२१ ॥
