सूत उवाच इत्युक्तस्तमनुज्ञाप्य भगवान् बादरायणिः । जगाम भिक्षुभिः साकं नरदेवेन पूजितः ॥ १२-६-८ ॥
Sūta Gosvāmī said: Thus requested, the saintly son of Śrīla Vyāsadeva gave his permission to King Parīkṣit. Then, after being worshiped by the King and all the sages present, Śukadeva departed from that place. ॥ 12-6-8 ॥

सूत गोस्वामी ने कहा: इस प्रकार अनुरोध करने पर, श्रील व्यासदेव के संत पुत्र ने राजा परीक्षित को अपनी अनुमति दे दी। फिर, राजा और उपस्थित सभी ऋषियों द्वारा पूजा किये जाने के बाद, शुकदेव वहां से चले गए। ॥ १२-६-८ ॥
