इत्येष मानवो वंशो यथा सङ्ख्यायते भुवि । तथा विट्शूद्रविप्राणां तास्ता ज्ञेया युगे युगे ॥ १२-२-३५ ॥
Thus I have described the royal dynasty of Manu, as it is known on this earth. One can similarly study the history of the vaiśyas, śūdras and brāhmaṇas living in the various ages. ॥ 12-2-35 ॥

इस प्रकार मैंने मनु के शाही वंश का वर्णन किया है, जैसा कि इस पृथ्वी पर जाना जाता है। इसी प्रकार कोई विभिन्न युगों में रहने वाले वैश्यों, शूद्रों और ब्राह्मणों के इतिहास का अध्ययन कर सकता है। ॥ १२-२-३५ ॥
