सन्ध्योपास्त्यादि कर्माणि वेदेनाचोदितानि मे । पूजां तैः कल्पयेत्सम्यक् सङ्कल्पः कर्मपावनीम् ॥ ११-२७-११ ॥
Fixing the mind on Me, one should worship Me by his various prescribed duties, such as chanting the Gāyatrī mantra at the three junctures of the day. Such performances are enjoined by the Vedas and purify the worshiper of reactions to fruitive activities. ॥ 11-27-11 ॥

मन को मुझ पर स्थिर करके दिन के तीनों समय गायत्री मंत्र का जाप करने जैसे विभिन्न निर्धारित कर्तव्यों द्वारा मेरी पूजा करनी चाहिए। ऐसे प्रदर्शन वेदों द्वारा निर्दिष्ट हैं और उपासक को सकाम गतिविधियों की प्रतिक्रियाओं से शुद्ध करते हैं। ॥ ११-२७-११ ॥
