वेदेन नाम रूपाणि विषमाणि समेष्वपि । धातुषूद्धव कल्प्यन्त एतेषां स्वार्थसिद्धये ।। ११-२१-६ ।।

My dear Uddhava, although all material bodies are composed of the same five elements and are thus equal, the Vedic literatures conceive of different names and forms in relation to such bodies so that the living entities may achieve their goal of life ।। 11-21-6 ।।

english translation

मेरे प्रिय उद्धव, यद्यपि सभी भौतिक शरीर समान पांच तत्वों से बने हैं और इस प्रकार समान हैं, वैदिक साहित्य ऐसे निकायों के संबंध में अलग-अलग नामों और रूपों की कल्पना करते हैं ताकि जीवित संस्थाएं अपने जीवन के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त कर सकें ।। ११-२१-६ ।।
