पितृदेवमनुष्याणां वेदश्चक्षुस्तवेश्वर । श्रेयस्त्वनुपलब्धेऽर्थे साध्यसाधनयोरपि ।। ११-२०-४ ।।

My dear Lord, to understand those things beyond direct experience — such as spiritual liberation or the attainment of heaven and similar material enjoyments — and in general to understand the means and end of all things, it is imperative that the forefathers, demigods and human beings consult the Vedic literatures, for these literatures, being Your own laws, constitute the highest evidence and revelation. ।। 11-20-4 ।।

english translation

मेरे प्रिय भगवान, प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव से परे उन चीजों को समझने के लिए - जैसे आध्यात्मिक मुक्ति या स्वर्ग और इसी तरह के भौतिक सुखों की प्राप्ति - और सामान्य तौर पर सभी चीजों के साधन और अंत को समझने के लिए, यह जरूरी है कि पूर्वजों, देवताओं और मनुष्यों को वैदिक साहित्य से परामर्श लें, क्योंकि ये साहित्य, आपके अपने कानून होने के नाते, उच्चतम साक्ष्य और रहस्योद्घाटन का गठन करते हैं। ।। ११-२०-४ ।।
